And I have 30 plus contracts in several directories, one virutal python directory, but,the issue has not occurred in the 3 months I’ve developed using wsl2 and vscode but it certainly occurred while using webstorm in windows before i switched to wsl2 with docker back end and ubuntu distro,conclusion - the npm based oz, hardhat, and truffle installs into vs code wsl2 environment do not align well with vscode extensions, ie - the node resolver engines…Also it seems remixide has the same exact issue with the initializable.sol contract within windows chrome browser.,after getting past the initial error and getting everything ready to test, the only place the resolver would look is in the contracts folder within the directory, it didnt look within node modules at all, so now, i am going to move copies of the contracts out of node into my contracts folder which is defeating the purpose of plugins vs.

This has NOT occurred on other contracts on my wsl2 system (all sol 6.12 version or 5.17, and all python based ethereum ).Those contracts are all pre-OZ upgrade era. So I trouble shooted a few things and decided to remove the extension and the problem disappeared. And I didnt notice the import errors right away after I returned because the compile didnt finish and I initially thought it was network related.
